AKC Meet the Breeds® gives dog lovers a unique opportunity to meet, play with, and learn about hundreds of dogs! The Canaan Dog was well represented and a huge crowd pleaser. Get to know our members and connect with like-minded individuals. Our community is made up of people from all walks of life who share a love for Canaan Dogs.

2025 National Speciality
The 2025 National Specialty is being rescheduled and relocated from May in San Bernardino. Several alternative dates and places are under consideration. Additional suggestions are welcomed. These changes are needed for a number of reasons, including the inability to confirm a replacement for one of the canceled Cluster shows and other important details. The Board would like to thank those members of the Show Committee who worked diligently on the National Specialty and hope they will continue to be involved on the new date and location.

The 2024 National Specialty was held on March 21, 2024, at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia. 4 days / 5 shows. Concurrent specialty on Thursday designated specialty on Friday, 4 days of all-breed shows. March 21-24, AKC approved.
